Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (non-technical audiences)

I was recently invited to give an online talk on fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The target audience was formed by people with non-technical background (i.e., without training in engineering, mathematics, and related areas). This way, the presentation was focused on providing an overview of the history of AI and ML, without too much mathematics. Moreover, the influence of AI-based systems on our daily lives was discussed via examples: how used-data collection works and how it is utilized to model people online behavior; how deep learning drives facial recognition systems; how the emergence of personal assistants, e.g., Amazon Alexa, Google Home and others, will make it easier for the market big players to better understand our daily behavior, increase the efficiency of recommendation systems, and eventually sell us more products.
